Green permission slips were sent home on Friday to students who had returned "Expression of Interest" notices for swimming. Please complete all relevant details on these forms and return to Home Group teachers ASAP.
Please remember to also include payment when returning permission slips (swimming is not covered by the excursion levy).

Monday 15th, Wednesday 17th & Friday 19th August
Monday 22nd, Wednesday 24th & Friday 26th August

Welcome Back to Term 3
Welcome back to a new term in the Year 1 Neighbourhood! We trust you have all had fantastic break.
Sia will return to school on Monday.
It is important for everybody to remember to bring in their Readers' and Writers' Notebooks to school daily, inlcuding the plastic pocket to transport books and notices safely. If your child has finished the notebook or has mislaid it, please purchase a replacement or see your homegroup teacher. We are really encouraging daily reading for all children to improve fluency and understanding, including reflections and written response to what is read. Please refer to the notice inside the book.

Parent Helpers
If parents have any spare time, Home Reading book boxes need some sorting, placing the books in the correct box. If you are able to assist before the end of the term or early next term, it would very much be appreciated.

If you arrive late on Tuesday and homegroups have already started making their way to assembly, can you ask students to place bags next to the stair well rather than on it? Many thanks!
End of Term 2 Update: Parent Teacher Interviews & Term 2 Student Work on Display
Parent/Teacher interviews are scheduled for Thursday. Please note that Elke will be conducting interviews in Room 16 (Year 2 Neighbourhood) for her homegroup meetings.
Sia has been putting up a superb display of students' learning from this term including Play & Inquiry, reading reponse and maths activities.
Thank you to the two parents who have volunteered to become Parent Representatives in the Year 1 area. Please speak to Sia, Sheryal or Elke if you are willing to assist in this role.
A reminder that school finishes on Friday at 2:30 pm.
We hope you all have a wonderful Term 2 break, ready and refreshed for Term 3. Thank you to all the parent who have also assisted in the Year 1 Neighbourhood this term with reading, typing, laminating, accompanying students on the Melbourne Museum excursion and various other roles that help make our teaching role enjoyable and easier.

Notices to be Returned: Excursion; Reporting Day; Annual General Meeting and Walkathon
There are a number of notices still outstanding as listed above.
Please make sure your child has returned their excursion form for this Wednesday, 22nd June. We will be leaving school at 10 am and will return to school at approximately 2:15 pm. Students who have not returned their notice will unfortunately miss out. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to come along with us too.
Places are filling up for the upcoming Parent Teacher Interviews on Thursday 30th June. Please hand these forms back to your child's homegroup teacher asap.
The Annual General Meeting occurs this Wednesday as well. If you require childcare, please return the forms promptly.
Finally, the Walkathon Raffle will be drawn tomorrow at Assembly. Thank you for your fundraising efforts!
